Luxembourg Gardens IS wonderful. I ate lunch there every day after my classes at the Sorbonne. But I lived in the Marais: Don't miss the Musee Carnavalet (free on first Sunday), Place De Vosges (free all the time), the falafels on Rue de Rosiers, or the Bastille Opera (about 9 euros for the cheap seats).<br/><br/>PS - The Rodin Museum is fabulous.
