I just finished a three day marathon at work and am totally ready to slide into bed. Tomorrow I hope to feel much better after a cup of tea in the morning. For now, good night and happy travels (imaginary or otherwise).

I love the way cubed sugar tastes. I suck on it, roll it around on my tongue. Its like wedding mints, a very occasional treat. My packet of Splenda isn’t cutting it this morning.

This morning I’m thinking of Paris. I know that our trip is really about new places and I should be excited about that, but Paris has a special place in my heart as the first city in Europe I visited and since we are flying into and out of there I know I’ll be able to carve out a little time to see some new places.
When I saw this teacup nestled among the photographer Elena’s favorite things it made me think of the book “Paris: Made by Hand: 50 Shops Where Decorators and Stylists Source the Chic & Unique
.” It is by a fellow blogger and offers a different perspective on one of my favorite cities. I may just have to read it before we leave in August.

I ran into Pauline Frommer’s blog “Traveling Light” on WeightWatchers.com of all places. Its all about how travel took its toll on her waistline (something I can empathize with). I didn’t know who she ways and then it hit me, duh, Frommers, like the guidebook. A quick google later and I stumbled upon this free book, “Spend Less, See More.” Its a 15 page pdf. I especially liked the tips dealing with contract of carriage as its a problem I’ve run into and not known how to deal with when I’m delayed and frustrated.

So chic. So French. I love these mod tea cups. This Friday I’m sipping Oolong tea that we bought in China last year while planning our upcoming trip to New York in May. Its going to be a good year.

Yawn, rub your eyes and open them to the magic that is Christmas. Sip your tea while you open your stocking. It is a blessing to have this moment.

Its the tea cloth that’s for sale, but its the teapot and creamer that I am loving today. So Christmasy. Via Etsy Skinny Laminx.
